Whether you have been experiencing difficulties for a long time, or have suddenly found yourself struggling, I offer a compassionate, collaborative and evidence-based approach to helping you move forward towards your goals. Psychological therapy offers a safe and reflective space to explore why you might be experiencing difficulties, before coming up with a meaningful plan together for a way to move forward.

I understand that for many people, accessing psychological therapy can be very difficult. My approach is to work collaboratively with you, so that together we can understand why you may be experiencing difficulties, and develop a bespoke plan to help you to move forward and reach your goals. 

I have experience in working with a range of psychological difficulties, including:

  • Low mood and depression
  • Anxiety
  • Self-esteem issues
  • Relationship issues
  • Trauma
  • Addictions, such as substance use 
  • Health issues and chronic illness 
  • Stress
  • Issues relating to identity 

Some people seek therapy with a very specific issue that they would like help with. For others, it may be that they struggle to identify what the issue is, but perhaps feel like they are ‘stuck’ or are struggling to reach their goals and live a life that they find rewarding and meaningful. 

As a Clinical Psychologist, I am trained in a number of therapies including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), compassion focused therapy (CFT), mindfulness and narrative therapy. I am also an accredited Schema Therapist and can provide schema therapy if this is something that may be useful. 

I tend to work integratively, which means that I draw from a range of different models to best suit your needs. Whilst I ensure that the therapy I provide is evidence-based and grounded in theory, I believe that the therapeutic relationship is the most important part of therapy, and I do not believe that one approach works for everyone. I will work with you to make sure that the treatment you receive best fits your needs and goals.
